A huge shout out to Stefan Müller, because these wines are on fleek. Müller farms 10 hectares of mostly Riesling with a little Pinot Noir and Blanc. Everything is hand harvested and he uses no herbicides or pesticides in the vineyard. All wines ferment with native yeasts, very little sulfur at bottling. Wines are wild and fruity, acidic and mineral and true to the terroir of the Saar.
The trocken is super expressive and fruity while staying dry and mineral. We could drink this stuff all day.
