Dimitri Brečević was born in French Basque country. His mother a frenchwoman, his father an Istrian who grew grapes in an old Mussolini era concrete water tank. The uge. Dimitri studied wine all over France, but decided to get back to those Istrian roots and stake his claim in Buzet. The climate here can be super cold and grapes stay cool on the vine to throw some mad acidity.
The Refosk is intense AF on the nose, seemingly frightening. But chill. Cuz the palate is this light bodied, iron rich acidic little number that is like nothing you've tried before but somehow have always been missing.
