Moreau Naudet Chardonnay Petit Chablis, France 2017
Regular priceSale price
Stephane Mareau was becoming a baller winemaker in Chablis before he tragically passed away in 2016. His widow is a champion, however, and took over the reigns without pause. Moreau Naudet lies in Petit Chablis, a somewhat lesser known appellation outside of Chablis. Where typically the soils of Petit Chablis are Portlandian, the soils at Moreau Naudet are the prized Kimmeridgian soils of Chablis, giving the wines that chalky mineral style of Chablis we like to slam with two dozen oysters and a basket of sourdough.
Saline, stone fruit, lemon. Next time you say you don't like Chardonnay, I double dog dare you to try this wine.
