The vineyards of Miloš sit on the Adriatic Sea a short distance from the oystering village of Moli Ston. The family has been making wine in this hyper coastal region for over 500 years, the proximity of the vineyards to the sea creating an ultra fresh, slightly saline quality to the wines to make them wildly unique. Steep, hand carved, terraced vineyards are planted to dolomitic limestone. Hot, coastal summers and sea breeze make this a fabulous place to grow organic wine.
The region of Pelješac is planted almost completely to Plavac Mali - an offspring of local Zinfandel. The wine is deep, earthy, full of dark fruit aromas and marked by a structured backbone. Could let this wine chill for another 10 years or enjoy now with oysters (yep), meats and cheeses.
