After years of studying under the wine science of Jaques Maillet, Florian and Marie Curtet have finally taken over Jaques' Domaine in the Savoie region of eastern France. They have renamed the concept 'Domaine Cortet,' and are working with the same 5 hectares of vine passed on by their predecessor. They work full on Bio-D, with Florian feeding the vineyards his home made teas and infusions. Varieties are indigenous to the villages of Chautagne and Motz for that super traditional Savoie dopeness.
The Domaine Curtet Mondeuse sits on its whole bunches for 25 day maceration. No sulphur additions. Light, ethereal, earthy and mineral. Super pretty wine that wants charcuterie and pepper crackers or a thick, funky, stick to your bones kinda sausage dish.
