As a child in Alsace, Raphäel Beysang grew up working in vineyards. He eventually did some work in Auvergne and through a mass of networking was able to land some vines just south of Beaujolais. Raphäel and his partner, Émélie use horses to plough the vineyards, are fans of whole cluster maceration and create wines with very little intervention.
The Nouveau is from 50yr old vine Gamay, macerated whole cluster on the skins for two weeks and bottled with fining, filtration or additions. Super deep fruit and a very good time.
