Eva Fricke's studies of viticulture and oenology took her around the world to work with wine. Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Australia and finally back to Germany as vineyard manager to the famed
Johannes Leitz. In 2004 she decided to expand her studies into business, in an effort to start her own winery. Eva is pretty dope. She now owns vineyards in the Lorch, Lorchhausen and Kiedrich regions of the Rheingau.
The Kiedrich in grown in sandy loess and loam soils with some quartzite and clay. The wine is aged on its lees for 7 month in tank. It screams acidity, expressive fruit and a sunny day at the beach.
